Emerald Hill ENERGY STORAGE

Emerald Hill Energy Storage is a possible 250-megawatt energy storage project being introduced to DeSoto. At operation, the project would provide sustainable, reliable energy to support the Texas grid.

Adding energy storage to the Texas grid allows extra power to be stored when demand is low and used when demand for energy increases, which could help reduce or avoid price spikes and supply shortfalls. With Texas’ all-in energy production model, every type of energy generated can help Texas remain an energy leader with a strong, reliable grid.

This project could be operational as soon as April 2026 with the potential to provide taxpayers, school districts, hospitals, the community college, and the local government with reliable economic benefits for years to come.
